Blue Ocean ATS Board Member

Greg is a co-founder of Blue Ocean from its origins as Blue Ocean Financial Technology Pte. Ltd. in 2015. He was a Managing Member of Blue Ocean Technologies, LLC from its launch in December 2016, and he currently serves as a member of the board of directors. He is the Manager and a principal of Blue Ocean ATS, LLC the registered broker dealer, which is wholly owned by Blue Ocean Technologies, LLC.

 

Previously, Greg was a senior advisor to Roberts & Ryan Investments Inc., a service-disabled veteran-owned broker dealer from March 2017 – September 2019. Greg assisted the management of  R&R through a complex change in ownership, a recapitalization and strengthening of the firm’s financial condition, and the establishment of the business plan which guides their ongoing success. He launched his own broker dealer in 2013 and was responsible for all aspects of running the broker dealer which culminated in the successful sale of the broker dealer.

 

Greg was a senior manager at Creditex Inc. from 2001 – 2007 where he was instrumental in launching a number of market-first products including ADR Swapbook (the first “e” platform for conducting ADR – Ordinary swaps), and the first electronic market center for trading credit default swaps out of Creditex’s London office which he headed. He set up Creditex’s Asia office from a standing start to production in less than 12 months. He has been a registered securities professional with supervisory responsibility in the UK, Singapore, and the US. He currently is registered with FINRA and holds the Series 7, 24, and 63.

 

He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (BS, ’87), and the University of Pittsburgh (MBA, ’93). In the United States Navy (’87 – ’92), Greg was as a Surface Warfare Officer and served onboard USS Wisconsin (BB-64) during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
